BEFORE ANY SUGGESTIONS, can this board fit me? Im 130lbs and the smallest board they offer is 153.
-Does the sintered base mean more maintenance? If so is it cheap?
-Whats the difference between amptek and magnetek
-Should i go with a rossignol binding. If so cage or cobra
-What stance should i use. Looking for an all mountain stance
-And if my boots fit and are comfortable do i need new ones? Whats so good about better quality boots?
-will this board fit me?should fit you just fine...if you are tall/growing it will definitely fit you
-Does the sintered base mean more maintenance? If so is it cheap?kind of, you will have less base repair to do, but more waxing. if you wax yourself it will be cheap, if you shop wax it can get costly, but hey, maintenance is a neccisarry expense
-Whats the difference between amptek and magnetek amptek is their "all mountain profile" meaning that it has camber between the feet, with a rocker tip and tail. Magtek is basically amptek with Magnetraction (a kind of "serrated edge"
-Should i go with a rossignol binding. If so cage or cobra your choice, you can go with any kind of binding and it will fit your board. The cobra is def a better binding than the cage.
-What stance should i use. Looking for an all mountain stancesomething a bit wider than shoulder width...no right or wrong here, whatever is comfortable
-And if my boots fit and are comfortable do i need new ones? Whats so good about better quality boots?NO! good fitting and comfortable boots is what everyone tries to get. "better quality boots" (more expensive boots) often have better foam in the liners, better footbeds, better waterproofing, lacing systems, blah blah blah.
Hope that helps
