Board recommendation - Japan big powder / Europe often hard pack
Hi
I'm off to Japan for a trip of a lifetime and will be spending time in some serious powder (hopefully)...
I haven't bought a board since my Custom Wide 154cm that I bought back in 2008.
I'm completely out of the loop and have no idea where to start looking...
Height - 5'11'' / 160cm
Weight - 70kg / 155lbs
Boot - uk 9.5 / us 10.5 /eu 43.5
I like cruising (fast) and small jumps, switch riding, drops and just fun stuff but I also need a board that will perform in Europe - which often has groomed runs and tracked out off piste.
Still, main priority is having fun in the powder in Japan all day without having to lean back constantly.
I also don't want a wide board (or something too long) - and am buying some new Burton Moto boots as the profile is so much smaller than some others.
Can anyone recommend me some boards to check out?
Cheers
giblet
PS I've been snowboarding since 1985 so I'm no beginner but I know my limits and have no desire to test them anymore... too many days in the chalet with broken limbs
PPS Please only reply if you have actually experience of riding many boards - too many kids on here that I can see are recommending boards and have seemingly only ridden 1 or 2 in their lives...
