New board help (confused with size), signal vs rossignol?

Hey guys,

I recently bought a Rossignol Angus Amptek wide 158 2014. I haven't risen it yet but I'm concerned that it's to small or won't support my weight properly? I am 6'0, 195-200 lbs, and have size 12 men's boots/bindings. I current own a Signal OG 163 camber not sure what year but it's done me well. I've been doing research on boards a sizing and I'm confused. I free ride all mountain terrain, never hit the park and prob won't due to hurting myself last year. So my question is what should I be looking for? I've been riding for 4/5 years now and I wanna try something new.
Is shorter a bad thing?
What size is good for my stature?
Is weight important? How close can I get to max weight specs? And should I look at board specs vs universal size fur myself?
I just need to know if this board is good or not, there's a angus 162 wide as well if that works better for my size?

Sorry and thank you again
Joe
