I just stumbled on a new 2012 SIMS Protocol for less than $100. It will the first board I've owned, though I've had a fair amount of experience on the mountain. I'm mostly just a downhill cruiser right now, but I'd like a board that can grow with me a little bit. Would this be a reasonable choice?

I have the 2011 protocol 160...(the one with the bamboo topsheet, looks like some of the arbors) it was my first board, got it last year around $75. I get a lot of crap talk about having a SIMS board, but honestly the board seems fine to me, and it looks better than most boards
How can you go wrong with a new board that is less than 100

(I am noob, so not really talking from experience) it rides well for me. I picked up an arbor formula this year on clearance and am anxious to see if i notice a big difference.
