I wouldn't ride either, they look like boards to hang on the wall. If you like catching an edge and slamming on your face then that banana board is for you.
for a prize of the banked slalom at baker they made some raven-head boards that were so badass...Jrob won one, but idk if he rode it, probably on the wall...
I think the cat board could work if the cat head was at the tail, kinda like a swallow tail. I would like to try and ride them for shits and giggles, but if they were for my wall I wouldn't want to put any scratches on them.
yeah what's up with the ears in the front? i thought the point of it was to be like a swallowtail or some sick novelty pow stick, but instead it's like a downhill "ichi the killer" type weapon
The shape of the cat board looks great other than the ears. Depending on how much rise the ears have they're probably a nonissue, kind of like the deck you can your own nose on. The SB boards just look like a joke to me, especially when you look at the price they want and their belief they're building snowboard art.
it looks like on the lib tech site they say very clearly not to ride the banana, but they go on about how hard the cat board shreds and how its awesome for everything. interesting
The cat board is basically a 160 Birdman with the cat ears stuck on the nose. Given the profile (long gradual rise) and intended use (pow pow) it will make relatively little difference to how the thing rides - certainly will have no impact on float.
Probably would be sweet to look at it while it floats but get this weird feeling I'd catch it on something. Like something ridiculous too because of my luck.
