Snowboard bent in the mail.. any saving it?

Hey guys,

My capita charlie slasher 161 turned up bent upwards on the nose lip. I am chasing up insurance but I wonder if the board can be salvaged and made ridable so it doesn't go to complete waste.

I am not sure what is possible with snowboards in terms of re-bending. Appreciate your advice.

Cheers,

OM

Unless you are absolutely stuck with it I'm not sure why you would bother. Can you not return it or file a claim with the shipping company?

Thanks, as stated above I have a shipping insurance claim in the works.

It's only the nose so I think its worth considering if something can be done with it before chucking it in the bin.

cheers,

OM

As stated by Nivek, that thing is done. There is no rebending it back without causing more damage. You now have a brand new piece of wall art.

Looks like UPS thought the Slasher could use more float.

I would not try to repair that board. You bought a new board, not a refurbished one. Get what you paid for.

You have to go to your local shop and ask them if they have a camber recalibrater. Put it in there and it'll fix it.

Angry Snowboarder Because someone has to call it how they see it!
