Default Board size

Buying my first rockered board (ride machete) and after looking on the ride site it seems I have two options for size: 157w and 161w.

I weigh 83kg (183lbs) and am 6'3".

Looking to use this board across the whole mountain so would it be better to go for the longer version for stability and float in pow or the shorter and cut down on weight of the board?

Do you really need the Wide? How big are your feet?
Get it. Wax it. Ride it.

Go with the 161 if you want to float in pow and not be leaning on your back leg all day long. The 157 will be a bit on the small side. I am 5'11 and usually ride 158-160 on a daily basis. The Ride Machete is a kick ass board! Check out the review over at TGR:
