Binding tightness
I have a realy good K2 board that I got last year, and I am puting new bindings on.
How tight should I screw them in, and how tight do they have to be to nipple out of the bottom? |
What are the chances of it nippling?
|
Are you talking about mounting the base plate on the board?
If so, use the baseplate and screws from your previous binding and you should have no problem. Put locktite on the screws and tighten them down as tight as you can get them and still be able to remove if necessary. If you are using the correct screw size, they shouldnt "nipple out the bottom". Let me know if this is what you mean. |
Yeah, man that is execltly what I am talking about.
I have al ready got some loctite left on the screws. So tighten them down real hard, you say? |
I tighten all the screws down lightly till they stop. Then i go back and tighten them another strong turn. If your out riding and you notice a little wiggle in your binding then just tighten it when you get back home.

Are you sure they won't nipple out?
|
If your useing the right screws they shouldnt. Just look at the screws and then look where your screwing them and see if your screws look to long.
|
All-right, they don't.
They sould not come out on the mountain, should they? |
Helo????????
