New guy, Cyber Monday Thread
Hello all! I'm glad I stumbled across this forum before making my first snowboard purchase. I recently picked up my Epic Local pass (I live in Denver) and am looking for a Beginner / Intermediate board suggestions. I've ridden a total of 4 days, so still super new to all this.

I've been checking out and they have some great deals going on beginner boards, which leads me to the main question of, which board should i get?

165 lbs
31 years old
10.5 boot size
$150 - $250 budget
Riding at Breck, A-Basin, Keystone, Vail / Beaver Creek if i'm lucky.
Looking to stay out of the park and just ride down the mountain.

Boards I'm looking at:
Ride Agenda (Beginner)
Rome Tour (Beginner)
K2 Raygun (Intermediate)

Based on my weight and shoe size, I'm thinking a 156 would work best. Thoughts on size and board? I'm planning on getting about 2-6 days a month in, so I feel like i'll progress decently fast. I'm confident enough a this point to ride down most blues, although I haven't figured out the heel to toe without some spectacular crashes. Thank you for the recommendations, it's greatly appreciated.

Raygun all the board you'll need.

Thank you for the suggestion! You feel that's an okay board for a beginner working hard to become an intermediate rider?

If BA says to get it I'd just get it and take his word for it. Dude rides more boards in a season then most of us will ride in our lives.

I figured that was the case and ordered the board. Thank you guys for the help!

Don't buy one of the "beginner" boards. Manufacturers primarily build them to hit price points. They usually lack the tech of the higher end boards. Buy a good board now and grow into it.
