Default New snowboard problem

If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated! I just bought a Burton Custom Flying V. I just took it out of the plastic and it has different surface textures. Its either smooth which I thought was normal or what feels like fiberglass or mesh just randomly in different spots all over the board. Does anyone know if this is normal sorry this is my first snowboard. Or is it the fiberglass lifting up or something?

Thanks for your help

I have a '13 Custom camber, and I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about. I noticed the same thing on my board. I just accepted it, and moved on

As far as I can tell, it's intentional. That said, what I'm talking about might be totally different than what you're talking about, so if you think something is wrong, than definitely pursue it.

Post a photo or two.

Note that the base is what matters.

For the top sheet? Probably normal, if Burton intended this year's Custom flying V.

Why not go back to the shop that you bought it from and confirm?

Just call up Burton's Rider Services and ask them. It will probably take you two minutes and that way you'll know for sure. Why don't people want to make actual phone calls these days?
