Default Jones Aviator or K2 Slayblade

I've narrowed it down to the Jones Aviator 164 or K2 Slayblade 162W. What do you guys think? Most of my riding is bombing groomers but I don't mind casually carving runs either at the end of the day. I hit very few jumps, only small stuff and I stay off of park features for the most part.

I've read every review available online I believe but I still can't decide
I like the magnetraction that the Aviator offers because I'm on the East Coast, but I really like a stable straight tracking board that can also carve. Which one better suits me?

I'm currently riding a K2 Zeppelin Wide for reference and I really like it for the riding I do. I should also add that I've ridden Never Summer's RC profile on a Legacy and I don't like the loose feeling.

Thanks,

Jon

Lightnin:

I think the reason for the lack of response is due to the fact that the Aviator is such a new deck. I doubt there are many out there on the hills quite yet.

I must admit that I am intrigued by the beveled edges at the tip and tail. Curious to hear just how it performs vs. a board with a raised tip and tail.

Hope someone jumps in with a review at some point.

Yeah I guess. If you're not sucking NS or Lib Tech's dick around here you don't get any responses.

Of the reviews I've read online about the Slayblade, some claim that the edgehold is shitty in ice and on hard pack. Others say it's got edgehold for days and would never wash out

I posted a thread about the aviator couple of weeks back. Do a search. PM the guy that was riding it and was going to post back. There's also another thread in the review section on it that has no response. Ergo, not a lot of people on here using it yet.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about the new 'precision lifted baseline' from K2? Has anyone ridden this yet?

BA has, he's reviewed at least one maybe two boards with it. He loves it. Mellow when you want, aggressive when you want. Two types of pop. Sounds really cool.
