Is this worth a shot?

This deck has been listed for quite a few weeks as of now, it seems to be in pretty bad shape but the seller insists its easily repaired with a base grind. Its this years NAS listed at $150. Thoughts on whether or not its worth buying?

If there's no structural damage around the edges a base grind looks like it would cover it. Make sure none of the gouges are super deep, if they are they might need ptexing, factor the cost of the repairs into the price.

Or buy it as your rock board, wax it, ride it.

Can't comment on price, don't know this makers stuff very well.

If the edges and side wall is not cracked and the inserts are not stripped. Nor no other visible damage to the core. I'd lowball him a little. Ptex gouges, even core shota are fixable. I put a ton of core shot on one of my good splits last weekend. It still rode just fine. I'll be filling them in this week.

It doesn't really look like it has a core shot, so it shouldn't be am expensive shop fix/tune if that is the route you go

id go see it in person, if its as it seems in the pic id offer 100 cash on the spot to take it, maybe meet him halfway at 125. base grind it and it should be sweet.
