What is your budget? Sounds like you want an ATV type of binding, which would be the SPI/CAD/NRC from the Ride lineup, or Rome Targa's would be a good choice in a L/XL

budget, I'd like to keep it <$200

but at the same time, i'm willing to pay a little more for quality. from the sound of it, Union's are very-long lasting, targeting the 100-dayers

i've also heard good reviews from people with Vans BFB the same boot as i have, who have the Union Forces and say they fit perfectly as the heel cup extends at an angle upward for larger boots instead of horizontally outward.

i think i may be sold on the Union Forces, although i've heard Rome Targa's come up a couple times too. i mean i want something middle of the road, not a highback, and not too stiff, but def. not as soft as the Rome 360/390's

One problem with the unions is that they use leather straps which wear out quickly if you do ride alot. The bindings still work, but they start to look pretty beat after a while
