RIDE Exile - Snowboarding Forum

Anyone got any info about this board?

Ride came out with the Exile in 2001, 2002, 2003, then stopped making the series.

I'm a beginner-intermediate boarder and I can get my hands on a Ride Exile 157 (presumably 2003 model) for $90. Condition is good, it's been used 20-25 times, scratches here and there and some scuffs on the board (only chip painting, not board).

I want to know if it's a good deal.

45 degree thin Cap board.

Everything else about it looks fine, though.

JJ Thomas won X-Games gold and Olympic bronze on it in 02.

03 version is stiffer than the previous years.

Cap is a construction type; basically the topsheet is molded to the steel edges.

Cheap, prone to delamination, and generally shitty.
