Just curious what you thought of the "pop" of the board. I rode my brother's board (07/08 model) and I can't seem to ollie as high on his board compared to mine and his board is 2 years newer
Is it just me?

Haven't ridden one but my buddy just got one, he doesn't seem to have too much trouble with it, he just gotten and hasn't taken it to the park yet though. His brother was walking around on it and it had some crazy flex, that may be a contributor. I really like the style of them, was debating getting one.

The board pops just like a darkstar if you put them side by side there's a lot of the same tech going on there. If you can't ollie it I'd say its your ability and not the board.

It's not that I can't ollie, I just don't get the same height with the believer. I was searching this site and I think you (BA) mentioned to not preload the tail (this was for a WWW which is slightly different) - I always start with a slight press just before the ollie. So with these new tech boards, should I just snap into an ollie and forget about the preload?
