Should I buy this board/bindings? - Snowboarding Forum

Hey all I am looking into buying someones slightly used 07 rome agent and rome 390 bindings. Its a 155cm board. I am 6" 195-200lbs and I am a beginner. Price is 280$ and was probably used about 3-4 times.. what do you all think? good price? good size board? thanks

what are you planning on doing, freeride or park? 155 would be okay for park at your size but you may find it a bit hard on the bigger slopes.

you may find that a little short like I said, I am 6'2 185 and the smallest i would go is 159, but alot of it is preference. Some people totally dig smaller boards. Small boards don't handle as well in pow. I would say look around a little bit, maybe for a couple days and see what you can find on craigslist or websites. You can get last years models for pretty cheap and you will have a bigger selection. I'm not trying to talk you out of it by any means just weigh your choices. I'm sure 155 is doable, and it may even be your style.

Ya i was looking for at least a 158+ until I seen this good deal and figured I would ask to see if I should go with this. Been checking out that evo outlet and older model boards. trying to stay cheap but also get something decent.

ya, I recently bought an 07 Dominant, I could have gotten an 08 but I love the look on the 07. I took it out for the first time saturday and absolutely loved it. I mean it's not the greatest board but it's the one I have been wanting and I got it for 107$ shipped across country. I had a chance on a couple other boards but really wanted this one. So make sure you don't settle.

my favorites are the-house.com dogfunk.com and sometimes sierrasnowboard.com others may know better. also check whiskeymilitia.com they are like a woot.com or whatev, they have hige sales on items every hour or so, like now there are 50$ bindings.

Its getting harder now as the season progresses, to find older model stuff... your best bet is probably the-house.com and evogear, also check the backcountry outlet.

For your size/weight, you should go with something a bit longer. Depending on your boot size, probably something wider too.
