Newbie question

Help,

I'm a beginner, 38yrs old, 155lbs, with size 8 boot (have to pickup this sport cause I don’t trust my kids up there by themselves :-). I bought my first board (Morrow Truth, 154cm with 3 set of screw holes) and binding (Ride LS Large) yesterday and realized that I can't position my binding to a “centered stand”, the maximum I can setup this board is 2 inchs setback. Is it going to be a problem since I learn with centered stand (The shop owner tell me that this setback is “normal” ). Also is my binding too big for me ? (the front binding almost touch the side of the board)

Can I have a second (or expert) opinion before I try it on the hill or return it ?

Thanks,

too me it sounds like you bought the wrong bindings i dont know on ride bindings but on burtons large bindings are for boot size 10+ mediums are for 8-10 i would exchange the bindings for some mediums if thats the case.

Do you mean the Ride LX bindings? It looks like for a Size 8 boot, you're on the border line. A M is good from 5-8 and a L is for 8-11. So you should be fine. When you put the binding on the board, put your boot in and just make sure your boot is centered. Your boot might overhang a little. Generally up to 1" should be fine. You can tilt the board back and forth with the boot in to see if you're going to be catching anything.
