boots hurting my ankles

Guys,

I am looking for some new boots but it seems no matter what brand or different boots I try my ankles are still in pain. I have some extremely boney ankles and most of the boots I have tried bother my inner ankles. Anyone have any suggestions?

have you tried boa system? Also what kind of socks do you wear?

Most of the boots I have tried on are boa boots as I prefer them. I tried them on with some bridgedale snowboarding socks. I am not sure the actual boots are the problems, it may be the liners.

Are they bothering your ankles when you put them on? Or when you actually go out and ride in them?

Are they heat molded?

They bother me when I walk around hehe. I guess I can try to get them heat molded but I would have to buy them first. I am in Houston so unfortunately the selection is limited.

quick fix for this is wear two or three pair of smartwool socks also try insoles that will raise your ankle a lil bit and take some pressure off of it
