Default Newbie on a early model Jamie Lynn Lib Tech

Hi everyone, newbie here..

I have been trying to learn on an early model Jamie Lynn Lib Tech about 157-158 in size. I am 5'-8" 160lbs.

Is this board very wrong for me to learn on? I do feel its a little long and reviews say this is a fast and stiff board.

Thanks for your help!!

Probably isn't the perfect size for you, but certainly not horrible. I'm 5'9, 120 pounds, and I ride a 161 all mountain, 150 jib board. Especially when you're learning, the extra couple centimeters won't really make a difference.
