Default Hero&ICS regrets,Bananatech, Gnu/Union bindings thread

Ok here's the deal. I have an Atomic Alibi and Flow Pro S FS bindings. The setup is a couple years old. I decided this year I wanted a new board and was really contemplating buying the skate banana. Well I found a hero available in my area so I grabbed it thinking that it would be better for Northeast boarding, since it's a bit stiffer than the banana and hence less likely to wash out.

Well, I am having regrets because given that the hero has ICS, it really only seems worth it to get the binding system that was built for it (Burton EST Bindings). I hear that the toe straps on burton bindings kind of suck, and Burton bindings tend to cut off my circulation (hence why I bought flows a couple years ago). I really hate that Burton is so proprietary, because it makes me feel like I need to buy a Burton board/binding/boot in order to be the most comfortable I can be.

SO, I'm either going to go with my hero and an EST setup, or I'm going to sell the hero and reconsider the following.

Here's what I'm considering:
Boards:
Lib TRS BTX
Skate Banana
(although I hear that the lib bases suck)
Bindings:
Gnu Fastec bindings (Can't find a damned review on these!)
Union Force bindings
Boots:
Thirtytwo Unleashed

Thanks in advance if you guys can help me out!

Bakoda makes an adapter for non est bindings to work on an est board. Bsically its the baseplate circle with two holes for your bolts. I couldnt find it on their site but they were giving them out with drake bindings on backcountry.com maybe calling bakoda or emailing them will help

Ideally, I wish they made other bindings in the with EST. Thanks for the heads up though. So I'm taking it you think I should stay with the hero?

FYI that bakoda disk is the ICS disk for Drake bindings. As of right now Drake bindings are the only thing that works on an ICS without jimmy rigging something.

That sucks. I really don't want Drake bindings. What a bummer this ICS shit has turned out to be. Have you heard anything about the GNU Fastec btw?
