Default Is a 140cm snowboard too small for my GF?

Hey everyone I need some advice on getting a snowboard for my gf. She is a novice and can't really carve, she is about 5'2 and 125lbs. Would a 140cm youth board be too small? She will not be doing any terrain park stuff.
Thanks in advance.

Need more info. The size doesn't sound too short (although something in the mid-140s may be better). But you mentioned it being a youth board. She may be heavier than it's weight range, which would make it tougher to ride for her.

If you can look up the board on the manufacturer website, see what eight range it has. Ideally you want to be right in the middle of the weight range instead of being at either end.
