Default Upgrading board: need suggestions.

Hi all, I've been riding now for 2 years and finally I feel like its time to upgrade my board.
I currently ride on KEMPER vertex 159cm, which is a pretty old board. I don't feel too comfortable on it at higher speeds.
I'm looking for a board, for general down the hill riding, not looking for terrain park riding or doing any big jumps.
I'll be using k2 cinch bindings with size 11 Ride anthem boots.
Looking for a smooth ride board that will handle nicely at higher speeds.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a price range? You can find last years models for some of these on the web still for cheaper, but i'm showing them as normal pricing.

400ish- Capita NAS, Salomon Time Machine, flow drifter. These are really really good boards for the money, even if you spend more you aren't getting much more from your board, spending much less you are missing a performance price point.

450-600 Rossignol One Magtek, K2 Turbodream, Arbor Coda, Burton Custom(flyingV of camber), Capita Black snowboard of death, Flow rush, salomon man's board or assassin. Lots of choices here I picked my favorites.

I'm guessing you are a medium to bigger sized sized dude, 170-200 lbs, 158-160cm will be a good size for you. I'm really liking the salomon boards at the moment.

thanks for some input!
Im 180lb, 6.1
I will definitely check out these boards.
My price range would be 400-500 and below, but i wouldn't mind getting a used one either.
I also wonder if my local snowboard stores would carry any of those, as I would like to get something on my hands fairly quickly. I am still debating if i should get a wider board as my heel&toes will probably stick slightly out.

The salomon mans board is a midwide. That is the most you should need for the size boards you should be looking at; closer to a 160cm. Wide is just not necessary.

I actually like the boards you mentioned. I'm currently debating between

Capita NAS $499 +tax(13%)
Capita Black snowboard of death $550ish599... +shipping and duty....
Salomon man's board: $484+tax(13%)

Those are the 2014 models.
How they compare according to your knowledge.

Your probably going to want a wide version. And remember if you buy online there is no tax unless the company is based in your home state.

I found a decent deal on the capita BSOD but they only have it at 156cm...
Im not too sure if those 3cm will make a big difference or not

3cm will matter a lot to women tho.
it really depends on how you want the board to do. longer more stable, shorter more agile.

I'm 175 and ride a 155 all over the place, but i usually ride slower and do spins and side hits and carves and stuff, no o whole lot of straingt line down steeps- unless its a pow day and i have a 158 for that.

You would have fun on the 156 and the new BOSD shape should kick ass in pow, so its really what you feel comfortable with.
