So i got my new bindings in the mail today, set up my board and hit up a small local mountain with some friends just to break in all of my stuff. And within 10-15 runs. I get down to the bottom, unstrap and my toe strap comes clean off. Didnt take any hard falls that run, I fell once and didnt notice it then. But when i unstrapped and started pushing towards the lift some kid tapped me on the shoulder and was holding my strap. I'm fucking pissed, it should be under warranty but that means i have to send my bindings back and then wait a week, and i've already waited long enough to get the bindings.
Does this sound like a defect? The mountain is tiny vertical drop is under 200 feet, but its like 10 bucks and i just wanted to mess around on the small jumps and stuff so i wasnt doing anything epic that would cause the bindings to break, I fell harder and tweaked my old bindings more and they were used when i got them and still havent broken yet. |

Those look like Rome Conformist.1 straps. 08 White/Orange Arsenals?
If they are, contact Rome and they'll gladly send you out a new strap(s). Or just contact the manufacturer (if not Rome).

Wow I let a friend borrow a pair of old drake f60's to learn on a few years ago and he brough me back the board with the binding strap in the same condition and was always suspicious of how it happened. So your the second person I've seen snap a strap for no apparent reason.

probobly not. happens to bindings if you step on them and cause the strap to bend excessivly, especially if its cold. you might have not noticed you did this.
however, even if its not a defect, rome will send you a replacement. your strap isnt broken, just a ladder type thing that the strap connects to. they usually even overnight their stuff. rome warranty ftw |
