Default forum binding help

yes i have searched.

im a beginner looking for my first bindings. i wanted the forum republic at first but i found the recon and platform 1.5 on outlet price for about half the price of republics. i cant find enough info on the platforms and recons to tell if i would be happier with them over teh republics. these will be used mainly for just cruising down slopes. i live in a warm area so i travel to board at small places that get a little icy. hopefully maybe next year try out the parks a little bit. im 6'1 160 forum recon 156 board size 10.5 boots. please help thanks.

Sorry if this doesn't help, but i just bought some new republics and really like them. The main strap is very well padded and the toe cap helps too, I like my bindings really tight and have noticed a huge difference in comfort compared to my old ride teams. Nothing sucks more than an uncomfortable foot. There is also a lot of adjustments that can be made to them.

For me they are for the comfort alone. But if you're only riding a few days a year save the money because you probably wouldn't notice the difference
