Default Size 15 foot.

I have a friend who is 6' 3", 220lbs. He wears a burton moto in size 15, I think they are from last year.

He is about to buy a carbon credit 162 wide, waist width of 26.7. His binding settings are usually 12 or 15 in the front and -3 or -6 in the back.

Anyone see any issues with this size board for him?

Not ideal, but it should still be rideable. I don't know how much there is out there beyond your average wide board. The Skunk Apes Horsepower is considerably more money (and more board) and comes in an ultrawide size, but at 170 in length it's a pretty serious board. Almost too big for tight trees in the steeps, and a pretty serious board for even a big guy doing some serious shredding in the resorts out west. I'm about the same size, but a little smaller foot. Getting bindings with canted/raised footbeds on will raise the boot up off the board and give even more clearance.

The skunk ape 172 and 180 both only have a 26.8ww. Not much of a difference compared to the 162 carbon credit.

I was referring to the Skunk Ape 170 ultrawide, which is definitely wider. I've held the two in my hands, there's a difference.

26.7 is pretty wide. With burton shrink tech it should be fine i would think. Im 200lbs size 14 in burtons and my biggest board is a 163w flow rush. Its a tiny bit wider but really it should be fine. For a daily all mountain board it seems like it would be fine. I ride a blacklist 160 as my everyday deck. If he is riding super steep stuff or super deep pow maybe he could move up a bit.
