Hi, I just go into snowboarding this year and I'm loving it. The only problem I have is with my gloves. The gloves I bought have a velcro strap that keeps them closed and keeps out snow. Although, after a while (and a few bails) the velcro will get wet and freeze, making it impossible for me to close the strap anymore. After this I can't help but get snow in my gloves, which ends up soaking them.
Any simple solutions to this besides getting a new pair of gloves.(I just bought this pair for $50 bucks, its Swany X-Quisite gloves.)
GORDINI - 4G2035 - Fall Line Glove
gordini gloves, they make the best gloves out there, keep your hands warm without the bulk. I had a pair of mittens from them last year, and they were great, and those are the pair of gloves i'm using now. A little less warmth than the mittens but still keeps your hands from hurting and keeps the water out, they have the cinch around the wrist that goes either over or under your jacket and keeps the snow out.
If you really don't wanna get a new pair, buy some heat packs so you dont have to run to the restroom after every fall. I wear my sleeves over my gloves; the velcro never freezes.
Yea like markee said, some jackets have these straps at the sleeves and you can just pull these down really tight and it keeps snow from going down your sleeves/gloves.
Ditch the velcro...Dakine did away with it years ago and uses zippers to close the cuff.
