2014 Trice pro HP size help

5'7.5" 160lbs.

153cm, 155cm, 157cm?

The weight range on the litech site is 100+, 110+,120+......

Kinda confusing to me.

I'm basically an intermediate rider. No park, No jibbing. Just wanting to bomb the mountain and hit some natural features.

So far this season, I had a 2014 gnu impossible and 2014 Lib TRS Horsepower.

I liked the TRS better than the impossible, but I think I wanna try a stiffer deck.

Thanks in advance!

What size are the other boards?

I rode the 157 and felt it was a great size for me. I'm 6'1 170 so I think you'd probably want something smaller. Between the 155 and 153 it's personal preference. I'd go with the 155 at your size, but that's just me. Smaller will be a little more maneuverable in tight spots and quicker edge to edge. Bigger will be slightly more stable at speed and float a little better in pow if you set the bindings back. It's already a really maneuverable board because of the tight sidecut.

I'm 5'9" and your weight. Personally I'd go with the 155. 154 is my park board 156 is my do all length. 159 for powder.

I would go with the 153. This board has a blunted tip and tail so it will ride bigger than what it really is.

I'm not even really sure if they make a 155cm. I saw it on the libtech website. But I haven't been able to find it on any retailers site.

I am 5'11 160lbs, size 9 Ride RFL boots and I got the 157. I would also consider myself on the beginning side of intermediate (3 seasons, 30day average) and I ride no park as well. I will say that I rarely just go hit groomers, but with the lack of new snow I have been doing a few. I usually powder hunt, hike a little if needed to find a semi-clean line, etc. So far I have bombed some groomers, which I feel super stable on and am closer to carving than ever before. I have also done some steep tree lines which were skied out, I had no issues turning back and forth quickly on shitty snow to avoid the trees. Lastly I have had it in about 20cm of fresh snow on a fairly steep gladed area and holy shit was that fun! With that being said I only have two days on mine so far. One day with 2014 Cartels and one with 2013 Flux DMCC Lights. I preferred the Flux, but I believe this is because I cannot get the Cartels as centered as I can get the flux. The Cartels I have pushed as far toe side as they can go and I am still slightly heel heavy. The Flux I can centre perfectly with room to go toe heavy if I wanted to.... by why would you....:dunno:

For what it's worth, I have a 157 Banana Magic, 156 Skate Banana, have owned an older Trice in a 157, but went with the Trice 153 HP this past year. I absolutely love this board. It charges hard, quicker edge to edge, but still drives down the mountain for speed. I'm 5'10", 9 boot, and 165lbs. They really ride larger than they are, couldn't be happier with the 153. About to downsize the Magic to a 154 as well as Skate...

Thanks for the reply! Picked up a 2014 trice pro horsepower today.

I hope it's as stiff as the regular version. I read a guy bought a HP version in 2010 and it wasn't nearly as stuff as the fibreglass version.

According to the lib tech website. The 153 HP is quite a bit stiffer than the regular 153cm.

I had a 157 with the eagle on the top sheet, forgot what year it was, but my 153 definitely feels stiffer than that one. Have last year's 153. I'm sure you'll love it. It's a fast charging board for sure. That board just wants to haul ass, but does in a controllable way....love it.
