i only ask because not many stores seem to like to carry atomic snowboards and i was wondering if its because the boards they make are bad or there is some issues with the company itself.. and not many people seem to like to or ride them at all...

Atomic makes very good boards, bindings ets...The Hatchet is a great All around board.

I have a Hatchet and I love it for the park. I've heard good things about the Axum too. Besides that though I haven't had any experience with em but they're a pretty reputable ski company as well so hopefully it translates over.

I'm currently rocking the Axum. I love this board. It's an awesome twin shape that can handle the park and all mountain riding with ease. It's very light and not extremely stiff. I was riding my Rome Anthem and now ride my Axum more (both great boards in my mind).

In terms of fast speeds and stability, the Athem will do better as it's made more for that type riding. The Axum can handle all mountain bombing as well, however not as stable.

I am able to ride my AXUM everywhere as well as my Anthem

I look at it this way between the two boards (used for comparison)
Athem: More for all mountain but can handle parks

Axum: more for freestyle but can handle all mountain
