Well the Gnu Carbon High Beam is basically Gnu's trademark snowboard, its been around for a while tested many times, and is still around. Its an all mountain freestyle board, comes in many sizes (including wides) and with magnatraction, and for some reason Zumiez also had the CHB with Banana tech also which I find weird cause it doesn't say they are available that way on gnu's website, maybe limited edition maybe knock off. But it is Gnu's entry level board, but last time I rode one i found it was comfortable, handled well all over, park and powder. I would trust one but thats only my opinion. As far as cons I'm not too sure cause I have never owned one, but I'm sure someone else will give you the cons.

Unfortunately the CHB I rode had no magna-traction but almost everyone were I live swears by it because we only get about 40 inches of snow yearly (on a good year) and the local park makes its own snow so its always hard pack, anyways they say it handles the hard pack just a well as powder, I am planning on getting a Magna-traction board as well because my board doesn't handle too well on hard pack.
