Buying new Capita BSoD - 156 vs 159

So as the title suggests, I'm planning on buying the new Capita Black Snowboard of Death but am torn on size. I'm 6'0" and 165+lbs. Generally an all-mountain/freeride rider - I spend most of my time on normal runs (including some moguls), like to hit jumps and love going into the trees but rarely go into the park. I'm coming from a Sierra Team 157cm that seems the right length and I'm leery of going to a 159 in the Capita for the potential added difficulty on mogul and tree runs. That said, one of the main things I dislike about my current board is the way it gets thrown around in choppy conditions and that's something I want the new board to improve upon, so am similarly concerned the 156 is going to be a bit too short. Any opinions? I live in the northeast but go for a long trip out west at least once per season so see everything from terrible ice to fresh powder.

Get the 159. 2 cms between that and your Skierra board isn't going to make a difference.

I weight just like you and i'm riding 159.

Thanks guys, and Martin great to have your first-hand input again. Does the 159 feel cumbersome at all around moguls or tight tree runs? Leaning towards that for now but not 100% decided.

How's the board ride in powder? Capita's got the Charlie Slasher which looks great in pow, but limited to just that.

i think quite a few people have found that the charlie is pretty decent outside of the deep stuff

Ringo : Pretty easy to turn... The new BSOD is less stiff and easier to navigate... IMO 159 is no problem at all around trees...
