easly fixable??
So the boy goes out riding last night and comes home to show me this.

Dad can we duct tape this :giggle:
I believe the out come of not landing on top of the rail

was kidding in the title

just needs a sticker.

If it's cracked clean through to the other side, even if you use some epoxy it'll be prone to crack again with any good amount of force on it. You might be able to get some use, but I don't think anything long-term.

Isn't that far enough up the tip to not really affect the ride? I second the duct tape... :D

yea duct tape or the sticker haha.

its a kids board right, if he's big enough now give him one of your old deck otherwise kids boards are relatively cheap right, doesnt look all that expensive but I do love the wood grain top sheet, wish more boards had nice old school wooden veneers like ETM has been making

Fill with epoxy, cover with duct tape, peel off in the morning and sand/place sticker as needed. Have to remind him that you need to POP when going into a rail.

He's 17 now so not quite a kids deck.

I'll try to do some repairs to it and see how it holds up. I called my buddies shop and I'll see what he has. The boy is going to pay to replace it as well. He earns his own money now, and this is part of the sport

My only real concern is our long weekend of riding at our favorite resort is 3 weeks out and I don't want him relying on this deck. Cuz if it fails bad enough, he would then have to rent a deck and knowing him he would hate it and not enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Take drywall self adhesive fiber mesh. Stick drywall mesh covering the crack both front top sheet and base. Fill top sheet two part epoxy, $5 base just whole stick of P-tex. Sand top scrap base DONE!!!

Assuming that's a twin then just bust out the jig saw and make a swallow tail for future trips.
