any of you guys wear any other gear besides a helmet? i been thinking about getting some paded shorts and some wrist guards. any advice?

Padded shorts ftw...

I fell hard yesterday on my tailbone catching an edge.. before the padded shorts i would have been in pain.. this time.. it was a little uncomfortable... but the pain only lasted for about a minute rather than being sore the rest of the day.

I'd recommend pro-tec.. i believe you can get those shorts right now for $30 on dogfunk.. and they're not too bulky at all and offer good protection for less than half of the REDs.. which the new ones seem to not be getting too positive reviews...

I'm using back protection, It's sweet, covers a bit of tailbone too. It's a must imo.

I have a decently hard ass and dont require asspads. I do wear the wristguards most of the time.

I wear knee pads, go ahead insert knee pad joke here. I could probly do without them now but when I started boarding I used to catch my front edge, a lot, and since I have pretty bad knees to begin with I just still wear them.

Wear knee pads all the time. I used to do roofing and would be on my knees all day and developed tendonitis in my patella. I make sure I take care of my knees now so I still have them in the future.

Shorts with protection pads for thighs and my tail bone. Wrist protectors for my wrist, that's it.

I am thinking about kneepads.. i screwed up my one knee for a few days falling last week.. caught an edge and bam. that shizz hurt. thank god it wasn't ice..

I've got wrist guards because I had major surgery back in March on my arm. I need to be careful and protect it.
