Used Board Pricing Help

I'm looking into buying a used board and I feel I need some help with fair pricing. I went to a local shop and found an '09 Burton Custom with cartel bindings listed at $340. The board seemed to be in great shape considering its age. I just don't know if I can justify paying $340 for a board so old. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

How old are the bindings? If they are '09s as well, I wouldn't pay more than $250 for that set-up.

Additionally, if you're buying used look here, craiglist and geartrade.

Depending on the used market in your local area, it may or may not be worth it. Shipping is always going to be a nuisance if your buying on eBay or craigslist, but sometimes when you are locked away from options, you end up lowering your standards. I would never pay that for a five year old setup. Keep your eyes peeled on here for used gear or wait for sales.

That's what I was thinking as well. The board I am using right now is 5 years old as well.

I found a '13 DC Mega Ply $250. I haven't really heard much about the quality of DC's boards though.

Whiskeymilitia always has solid sales in their private stash section. Just be patient and it will come to you. Plenty of deals on yes boards on geartrade.

Yeah that's over priced. I figure stuff that's 1-3 seasons old in really good shape is worth about 33% of MSRP. Older and/or more beat up the price goes down from there. Custom is a $500 board and cartels are $250 bindings, so max I'd pay for a set about two years old in good shape would be $250.

Since these are even a couple years older I'd probably pay no more than about $175-200 if everything's in GREAT shape.
