Question How to pronounce "GNU" brand?

Everybody seems to have a different answer... How the heck is it pronounced? I have a GNU board and I can't even tell anyone what I have because I don't know the correct pronunciation haha. I've heard it spelled out as G N U, and I've heard it pronounced as "new". Anybody know which way is correct?

Or [noo] as the animal or [gnoo] as the operating system?

I hear people pronounce it guh-new and it always stands out to me because I feel like it should be a silent G.

It's ga-new. Apparently when Mike Olson was thinking of names he was going to call it Antelope, but he thought it was too weird, so GNU it was.
