Skate Banana 153w or 156w? Help needed

Hello!

may be someone here can help. I decided to buy my first board and got somehow hooked on the Skate Banana. What I cannot decide really is if I should buy a 153w or a 156w.

I am
6'2" feet (187 cm)
176 lbs (80kg)
11 size foot (Mondopoint 29.5)

About half of the time I will use it on the piste and would like to use it on powder if there is some. Most of my friends ski so I need to be able to follow some. No contest who is first though.
But I still want to be able to get a bit more into freestyle aka like learning to butter, using boxes and maybe rails and to use it on smaller kicker.

Has anybody some good advice on the size I should take?

Thanks in advance

It doesn't sound like you need a wide board, and I would avoid one if you can. Get the normal 156.

You definitely do not need the wide and should avoid it like the plague if you don't have a size 12 or bigger. And at over 170 lbs you will want a 156. Even that would be on the short side if it is going to be your only board, but it should still be fine.

The wide won't kill you and you probably wont notice a difference.

Well, I've read somewhere here on the forum about the Skate Banana and there was a video review about it. It was saying that the Skate Bananas was a Jib and Park Ridding board and that's it. They say they wouldn't recomend it for an all mountain board at all.

Is that really true? Does any of you rides one of those (or any Rocker board)?? I'd like to hear about it. I'm thinking of getting a new board and I've read really good things about this board. But they say the rocker shapped boards doesn't have enough grip to ride at speeds. They say it's way to flex to ride grommeds too, is that true?

I'm thinking about the Lib Tech Skate Banana or a K2 Parkstar... I'm an All Mountain snowboarder... I love the parks but I'm scared of it hahaha I only do some small jumps and small boxes too. I'd like to try and become better at it.

Not an all mountain board. It's a fun board I use to play around on at Big Bear. If I'm riding a real mountain I prefer something stiffer. But I still can bomb groomers on it.

Look at the TRS or Riders Choice in the Mervin line.
