I have a pair of Cartels that are probably 3 or 4 years old, and was wondering if anybody knows if the straps from the 2009 Cartels would be interchangeable on my old bindings. The ones I have now are ugly as sin (some hippie looking suede shit) and the newer ones look more streamlined and comfortable all around. Thanks.

I dont see why it wouldnt? Burton uses more or less the same strap connection method for all their bindings...you would basically just be removing the capstrap side and leaving the other side in...

Those buckles look very similar as this year's Cartels. The straps should be standard with Burton, is my guess.
I popped off my toe strap buckles from my '08 P1's and put them on the '09 Cartels toe strap. Perfect fit. I also switched out the whole ankle strap from the P1's to the Cartels. Again, perfect fit. Your cartels' straps link points look exactly the same as the '09. Here is a pic of the change. The Cartel strap is loose. Just to let you know also. My Cartel buckles slip a little when I ratchet them tightly. The P1's don't.
