Choosing boards - Snowboarding Forum

Hi guys, i'm new to this snowboarding thing and i was wondering if you could give me some advice on choosing a board.

I have only ever snowboarded once but don't get me wrong i've been skateboarding for 4 years i find it much so easy to snowboard then skiing as i've been doing freestyle for about 3 years. I've falled in love with this sport i'm dieing to get up the mountain and this it's summer (as i live in New Zealand) atm and it's killing me

Just riding park, half pipes and jib
I'm looking at getting a Gnu, Bataleon, Lib-tech i don't know the specific model.

I weigh 147 pounds 6'1 and i'm 16 with size 12.5 feet.

I have a price range of US$900 max just for the board

So any information would be highly appreciated and any recommandations

900$ is to much to buy a snowboard. if you have alocal dealer id go talk to then but check to romesnowboards.com and some stuff by ride
