Default Question about Grenade gloves

I recently purchased a pair of Grenade McGlovin's with the liner. I bought a pair of small outer gloves and the XS/S liners. I can't fit my hand into the outer glove when I have the liners on. Should I have bought the outer layer a size bigger or do I just have to push them on harder? Thanks!
