Carving... does stance offset/setback have any effect? Stance width?

I just got a new board and I'm working on getting it tweaked to my liking. I only freeride, mostly hardpack. My old board had about 1 inch setback. With this new one, the setback is 0, where i mounted my bindings. How does this affect carving?

Also, for a 6'2" person, what stance width should i be shooting for? I'm currently at about 22" and it seems turn transitions are a bit labored.

Thanks

I set my front binding all the way forward for a centered stance at at 6'1" I'm 23" wide.

Set back is lame even in powder.

I ride 3/4 inch setback; it's all personal preference like stance angle and width.

THERE ARE SPECIFIC REASONS AS TO WHY I AM MORE LOCAL THAN YOU
