I got my equipment about 2 years ago. That first year I only went once or twice. Last year I went 10-12 times. Most of the riding is done on CT mountains (read: smaller and icey). I took a trip to CO last year, and will do the same this year.
Currently:
I'm 6' ~190lbs with about a full season (15 days tops) under my belt. I freeride. No park. Mainly green and blue.
Current Setup:
161' Rossignol Circuit (wide)
Salomon Boots (see other thread if you can ID them). Size 12. I think I should be size 11.
Bindings were cheap LTD ones, which I broke.
I will eventually want to get some newer boots, but I'm still trying a bunch on to see what I like. In the meantime, I need bindings so I can ride. I was thinking of picking up the Rome 390's. I'm not sure if I should be spending ~$225 on bindings tho, or if they're too much for me. I still fall and make mistakes, so I'm probably bw beginner and intermediate. I'd like something that will last me and will be somewhat forgiving.
Does anyone have other ideas I should look at as well? I'm a fan of the toe cap, and I will probably buy from a local store today or tomorrow unless I really find a good deal online making it worth missing another weekend of riding.
