?Bases? - Snowboarding Forum

ok, i was just looking into how each different type of base is made and the pros and cons of both sintered and extruded bases. i have only owned one board a rome 156 Agent which has a sintered base and so i was wondering if there really is a noticeable difference in speed, acceleration or durability or the amount of waxing that is needed to be done? keep in mind i ride freestyle, but i like to take it all over the mtn. when following most of my skier friends. so i like to ride versatile freestyle i guess.

extruded is cheap

sintered is better

the higher the number the better

thats all you need to know
