Gnu Rider's choice and NS Proto HD

Anyone have any experiencing riding both of these. Really leaning towards picking up a proto before a trip to Colorado end of the month. However, have a friend who has an RC he absolutely loves and is trying to convince me to go that route.

Boards that I've extensively been on the last 14 months. 138 days on slopes

159 N.S RipSaw
158 GNU Riders Choice
158 Ride HighLife
159 LibTech Skate Banana
163 N.S. HeritageX
163 K2 ParkStar
159 Rome Agent
154 Rome Garage Rocker
161 Rossi OneMag
164 Rossi Krypto
157 LibTech SkunkApe
159 Rossi Templar

Been on RC and the RipSaw which is not the Proto but IMO it's similar. Was not a fan of the RC. The RipSaw is hands down the best board period.

Proto would be my choice.

SnowDog I ride an Agent from time to time (Capita NAS at moment) how does a board like the RipSaw compare to the Agent for jumps and halfpipe? That Agent is pretty poppy and reliable here on the EastCoast. A pretty good all mountain board but extra good on the jump line and in the pipe with that camber and snappy tail.

Thanks. Any particular reason you didn't like the RC?

I ride the East Coast 7-Springs PA, & JayPeak VT,

I ride the 2013 Agent IMO a tad to much rocker. Agent is very playful easy edge to edge and a great board to carve. But at high speed the stability for me was lacking.

RipSaw felt stable weather flat basing or carving no matter how fast. RipSaw can bomb those morning groomers. The RipSaw is fun board not catchy, edge to edge transition is easy, was able to ride switch, spin, hit small kickers and medium size jumps. So IMO RipSaw can be either an all moutain freeride or all moutain freestyle board. While the Agent is a good all mountain freestyle board.

Did not ride pipe last year or this on any board. I'm not extra good on the jump line either.

Okay I didn't realize you were talking about the Agent Rocker. I have the cambered normal version.

I owned both at the same time and it's a tough call. Both are fun and versatile all mountain decks. The Gnu gets the edge on ice with the magnetraction but the Proto has more pop.
