Question Edge-base separation

hi guys,
I just bought a new M3 talon 07/08 board and took it for a ride this monday.
Last night I took a look if I had made any scratches on it and found none, as I expected since I don't do rails or anything like that or hit other riders, What I didn't expect was to find a very tiny gap between the base and the metal edge. The gap is not all around but it is in several parts around the edge. However I must admit tho, that since I bought it, about 3 weeks ago, it has been stored in the basement where is pretty warm, and left it there after a whole day of riding. I'm not sure it that change of temperature may have cause it of if it is a board defect.
help please
thanks in advance

It's hard to tell exactly what you are talking about. If you could include a pic it would help a lot. I would recommend taking the board back to the shop and have someone look at it. If it is a defect you should be able to get it replaced. Or maybe you're just being a hypoboardcondriac. Either way a knowledgeable boardshop could tell you best.

Unfortunately I couldn't take a picture but I was able to take it back to the store and they gave me a new one. I chose the same model, I'll give it another chance, but if it does the same thing I'm just gonna return it.
