NS Legacy vs TRS MTX

I just picked up Lib TRS MTX 159 since it seemed great for my style of riding, mostly carving down groomers and powder while hitting the occasional jump here and there. I love the board, but at 6' 180 with a size 12 I was worried it might be too narrow. Well after catching my toes and face-planting at high speed followed by two or three flips, I think my suspicions might have been right
I have considered maybe getting Salomon F series boots which would reduce my footprint by 3/4" and give me about 3/4" toe and heel overhang, but am worried even that might not be enough with the TRS's 25.3 wasit.

Only other option is a wider board, but I've always felt wider boards were a little tougher to toss around, but the Legacy appeals to me for some reason. And i'm thinking the rocker might actually help cancel out that loss of agility. And at 26.4 it should help with drag. I guess I'm just worried about the loss of stability at speed due to the rocker, which is why i originally chose the MTX over the BTX. But i've heard the NS rocker isn't as aggressive as Lib's which makes it just about as stable as a normally cambered board.

Should i keep the TRS and just try and reduce my footprint, or go with a wider board, and if so would the Legacy be a pretty good alternative?

IF you need new boots, get the F-boots. They're awesome. If you just bought new boots, then get a new board. Much easier to sell a used board than boots, right?

Buy the legacy, you won't regret it. It's everything they say it is.
