the house is really expensive imo, ad the sales are like 10% off...ebay has 2009 rome 390s for 149.99 shipped. do it.

those romes look pretty comfortable, still no toe strap though
then does sierra snowboard have better deals at end of season?

they can go over your toe or on top, its actually one of the most liked designs they stretch over really nicely

ohhh, i see, i'm still new to the binding market. All i have are some lamars. Can you do that with most bindings?

Good call on avoiding overprice Burton. I'm not sold on Flux though...

I'll probably just wait until the formulas go on sale. Too bad Sierra snowboard doesn't carry them, anybody know where to get them cheap besides the-house?

Sierra is having a sale this week think is 40% off 2009 boards on monday, 40% off 2009 binding on tuesday , and 40% off 2009 boots on wed.

o really..i wonder what time it will start...hopefully 12 am..

and most bindings do have convertible straps or full on toe caps. get the romes and you will love your life..

Rome binders have ultra cushy straps so you can put them over your toe or wherever you like. They are designed for that, so they will probably work well. I suppose you could do that with any binding as long as the toe strap is cushy enough.

In my experience, just because a toe strap is super cushy doesn't mean you can rock it as a cap. The Rome 390 webbed toe strap is actually engineered to fit as a toe strap or cap strap. Some bindings toe straps that are advertised as "universal" still suck e.g. 08 K2 Formula.
