I'm new to the forum but not new to snowboarding (not completely.) I still ride my first board. I don't ride but once or twice a year and I just never bought a new one. I have a 96 burton t-deck 153 which I like but after 12 years and 100lbs. I think it's time for a new one. This year I'm going to much bigger mountain than I'm used to. I'm going to Heavenly for the first time next month and I want a new board. I've never been anywhere but Sugar and Snowshoe which is only, at most a 1500 ft drop and no powder. I'm 6' 250+lbs, not fat, swole. I wear a size 11-11.5 boot. Not big on the park but enjoy small-medium kickers and I like hauling ass and floating over rollers. I wanna try and step my game up. I think i'm looking for a stiff 158. I like the ROME solution 158 and the Black death 159, but really don't care. I just want a board I will be comfortable on. Any suggestions would be appreciated (price range $400 or less.) |

You should be riding a board thats either 165 or 166. With your weight and height you need something longer.
Just pick any good Freeride board with that length specification but you can't go wrong with Rome |

i'm 6'2" 245ish & ride one of our true deviant 158's & absolutely <3 it. the deviant has been extremely popular lately. it doesn't quite fit your stiff board criteria though, as it certainly has some flex to it - which is part of it's charm, imo. if you're after a bit longer board, our expression model goes up to 163 or or freedom model (cap, & WIDE - more of a powder board for regular sized folks) goes from 156-167.
