I am about 5'6'' 150 lbs, beginner and I went to nearby shop to buy ride DH 153 or Twin 151. However, the shop guy recommended me to buy 155 because I might go out of park and then I might need longer one for better stability. I agreed and I bought ride DH 155. I don't know why I agreed on his advice. I am even not sure if I will ride on out of park or not.
After reading some posts on here and there, I am worried about the length, because it seems like that people used to recommend 151 ~ 153 for my size. I really don't know what to do now. Try to exchange it? I already installed my binding on it. What I know one thing is that the reason why I am worried is because I am a biginner. Last edited by sunny; 01-30-2009 at 02:30 AM. |

If your going to be riding alot of park I would defenitly go with the 153 because it's small enough for u to be able to spin around comfortably, but at the same time just big enough for you to be fairly stable when it comes to riding all mountain. Sine your a beginner the size might affect you a little when it comes to turning but it's not necisarrily a ridicoulsly huge board for your size. Another thing to keep in mind is that you might still be growing, so by the time you really get serious about the park you might have grown in to the board. The most important thing here is how you feel about the board. If you don't feel comfortable about the boards size you should defenitly exchange it because that will affect your mentality when you are trying to ride.
