Default New Board Advice

Hi, I'm an advanced beginner to intermidiate rider looking for my first board to own. I'm 6 foot 185-190 pounds size 11 boot and I ride resort groomed runs and stick to all mountain free ride and really have no interest in going into the park at all. I ride in the north east but hope to get out west a time or two this year and am looking for the best all around board for me since I can only afford one. I have ridden rental and borrowed boards in 160 & 162 lengths and both seemed ok to me, but some people have said I should go a little shorter. Also if it matters I will be putting a brand new pair of Burton P1 wingtip bindings on the new board since I picked them up for a steal at the end of last season. Any help choosing a board would be great, the boards I have ridden have been from Forum and K2, but have no experience with anyone elses stuff. Thanks in advance.

Mike
