is "the good ride" a quality reviewing site

I used to be very involved in my snowboarding obsession (age 15 until about 26) but than I had my son and snowboarding got put on hold. He is older now and this year I dusted off my equipment and went back to the hill. Took my five year old son (that was pretty awesome actually). I am 30 now and feel like I know nothing about the sport I once lived and breathed for.

I found "The Good Ride" and they seem to be fairly detailed in their reviews. However I always found it best to see what riders like the folks on this forum think.

What does everything think about The Good Ride and their assessment of products?

- note - I bought a pair of Burton Genisis bindings because of the good ride and those may be the most comfortable, stable, and all around best bindings I have ever ridden... so I guess thats something.

Honestly I think this forum is the best place to get the lowdown on the world of snowboarding.

Also checkout angrys site.. legit reviews no BS.

EasyLoungin is another great forum/resource. Rougher around the edges than here, but lots of knowledgeable riders.

Capita is to EasyLoungin as Never Summer is to here.

Lots of NS fanboys here, lots of Capita fanboys there.

Agreed, different strokes for different folks. At the end of the day, they're both pieces of wood that we all use to slide down frozen water.

Im a Ride fanboy... have been for years. Always felt like they were top shelf. However, I have been very interested in a Never Summer Board ever since my last board purchase.

Also used to be a big time Flow Bidings lover... I just wish their R&D stayed as progressive as their original idea's and concepts.

I was very close to scooping up a set of the NX2-AT's but because I knew nothing about their new design and didn't have time to do any research, I got a set of the Burtons instead. Figured I couldn't go wrong. I am still VERY interested in those NX2-AT's though. They look very nice and the ability to strap and untrap from the top eliminates that issue of what the hell to do when you get stuck in deep powder with flows on.
