I'm french (sorry for my poor english ) and I have some questions for you. I'm about 1m78 and 89 kilos and I'm still hesitating between a CUSTOM 160 or 165W. (The 162W is no more available on my favorite website, very competitive price).
I pratice more freeride but I want to keep maneuverability ...
Go for the 160...
I am 1.82 and i went for a 159, it should be enough, the 165W will be too big for you for sure...
And due to the fact that you ride 20/-10 you won't feel any overhang.
Thanks a lot fr0z1k.
I see this board in a store in 160 ant it looks like huge for me (I can't even imagine the 165W). I come from a Hero 155 which was too short for me and the custom 160 will be a great improvement.
On Burton size chart, the range of CUSTOM 160 is between 70 and 88 kilos, I am at the end of this recommandation, that's why I was not sure ...
Do you think MALAVITA EST (in L) will be OK for this board ? (I already buy these bindings due to a great deal ...)
First of all the weight chart is not 100%, u can budge a bit to each side
Just don't gain any weight
About the binding, as i said, no reason why they shouldn't fit the board, especially the fact that your ride a wide angle.
And yeah, the 160 will look a bit big to you due to your height, i had a Custom 2006 162 so far, and it felt a bit big to me, and i am 182, so i dropped to a 159.
The only "problem" you will have is turning the board at jumps, but if you are strong enough it won't bother u much.
